Fax FAQs

Do I need to create an account?

No. FaxItIn doesn't have logins or accounts. Upload your document, pay, and we send it.

Do you keep a copy of my document?

No. We hold it only long enough to send your fax — typically a few minutes. If we're mid-retry because the line's busy, we hold it a little longer, but it's deleted shortly after the attempt reaches a final outcome, whether that's success or failure. See our Privacy and Security page for more detail.

Do I have to give you my email address?

No — it's optional. If you provide one, we'll send a single one-time message confirming your fax went through (or didn't), and then we don't keep it on file.

What happens if my fax doesn't go through?

We automatically retry for a while if the issue looks temporary (busy line, no answer). If it still hasn't gone through after that, we call it a failed attempt, delete your document, and you are not charged — your card is only authorized up front, not charged, until the fax actually succeeds.

I closed the tab before my fax finished sending — did it go through?

Check your tracking link, which we show you right after you upload your document (before payment). It's private to your fax job and works without an account. On the same browser, we'll also try to help you find your in-progress fax automatically if you come back to the site.

How much does it cost?

[Placeholder — pricing model isn't finalized yet. Once it is, this should state the per-page or flat rate, whether domestic vs. international pricing differs, and when the price is shown (before you're asked to pay).]

What file types and sizes can I send?

PDF is the primary supported format, up to 20MB per document. Have your document ready as a PDF before you upload.

Can I fax an international number?

Not yet — at launch, FaxItIn sends to US and Canadian fax numbers only. International support may come later; for now, if you need to send outside the US/Canada, FaxItIn isn't the right tool yet.

Will I get a refund if something goes wrong?

If your fax permanently fails to send, you're not charged at all — we void the authorization rather than completing the charge. [Placeholder — a broader refund policy, e.g. for delivered-but-illegible pages, is still being defined.]

Is faxing actually more secure than email?

In a lot of ways, yes — a fax is a direct connection between two machines rather than something that sits in an inbox. Combined with the fact that we don't retain your document or your email, FaxItIn is built to be one of the more private ways to send something sensitive. More on our Privacy and Security page.

Do you show ads or sell my data?

No. FaxItIn doesn't run ads and doesn't sell or share your information.
